COMPLAINTS AGAINST EMPLOYEES

POLICY

I. Any complaint by a parent or student, or any other person, directed toward personnel, which is to be placed in the personnel file, shall be promptly called to the attention of the person complained against, who may if he or she desires, make a written response to such complaint which also shall be placed in his or her personnel file.

II. It is the duty of all employees to report to the Superintendent alleged misconduct by any School Board employee that affects the health, safety or welfare of a student as required by Florida Statute and School Board policy.

III. The Superintendent/designee shall report to the Department of Education legally sufficient complaints within thirty (30) days after the date on which the complaint comes to the attention of the School District.

IV. The Superintendent shall develop procedures to comply with the reporting requirements for legally sufficient claims.
