INSPECTIONS

POLICY

I. All school buildings shall be inspected daily by the principal or designee. Any needed corrections that cannot be addressed by the custodial staff shall be reported to the District Maintenance Department. Annual complete fire, safety, and custodial inspections shall be conducted at least once during each school fiscal year. Such inspection shall include wiring, plumbing, structural parts, safety hazards, and general repair needs. A copy of such inspection report shall be submitted to the School Board for approval.

II. The principal or designee shall routinely inspect the alarm panel of the school. Any malfunction of the alarm system shall be reported immediately to the Maintenance Department who shall make the needed repairs without delay. The faculty shall be notified that the intercom system will be used as a back-up until the alarm system is repaired.
