MEAL PATTERNS

POLICY

All meals served to students shall be planned in accordance with USDA guidelines to meet the nutritional needs of the students during the day. A-la-carte items meeting federal snack nutritional standards may be sold in all schools with the exact items and days of the week being at the principal’s discretion.

Students may choose fewer than the recommended number of food items in the meal pattern for the same price as the regular meal.
