Family Nights

April Family Night Scheduled - "How to Advocate for Your Child and Yourself"

Join us April 23rd, 2019 for our next Family Night! April's's topic is "How to Advocate for Your Child and Yourself" and will be presented by the Okeechobee Children's Mental Health System of Care.  This month's event will NOT be held at IRSC. Instead, we will be be meeting at the Dr. Fred Brown Center at FCHC. Dinner is provided and activities are available for children 3 and older throughout the presentation.

Our topics for this summer include Anxiety and Depression, Suicide Awareness, and Web Safety. See you there!

The Okeechobee Children's Mental Health System of Care Presents: Family Nights at IRSC! Bring the kids and join us in the Williamson Education Center at Indian River State College for evenings that include dinner, fun, and great information from experts on children's mental health, education, safety, and more! Events will be held the 4th Tuesday of the month from 6:00-7:30 pm. August 28th, 2018 - Difficult Discussions: Conversations you NEED to have with your children; September 25th, 2018 - Anxiety, Depression, and Suicide Awareness; October 23rd, 2018- IEPs and 504 Plans: Knowing Your Child's Educational Rights; November 27th, 2018 - Intro to Children's Mental Health System of Care and Wraparound Case Management; January 22nd, 2019 - Social Media: Avoiding Danger Online; February 26th, 2019 - Health Literacy: What You Need to Know; March 26th, 2019 - Children's Behavioral Health Fair: Learn About the Services Available to Children in Our Community; April 23rd, 2019 - How to Advocate for your Child and Yourself  *Our April event will be held at an alternate location to be announced.
