Okeechobee County Schools provides students, ages 3-22, with significant disabilities a wide array of specialized services. These services are individualized based upon student needs and include instruction in Sunshine State Standards Access Points for Reading and Language Arts, Mathematics and Science, life skills related to independent functioning, social/emotional behavior, communication and related services such as physical and/or occupational therapy, nursing and specialized transportation.  The primary focus is to provide the necessary supports which will enable each student with significant disabilities the opportunity to receive a high school diploma and become as functionally independent as possible in school, home and in the community.
