Title V: Rural and Low Income Schools Program

Rural and Low-Income School (RLIS) Program is intended to meet the unique needs of rural and low-income districts by providing resources and flexibility to supplement selected NCLB priorities.

Challenges faced by rural and low-income districts often include the lack of personnel and resources needed to compete effective for Federal competitive grants and formula grant allocations in amounts too small to be effective in meeting their intended purpose. The 2023-2024 Title V grant will provide funding to support the district's AVID program, a paraprofessional and instructional coach at OAA, a Behavior Interventionist, and the Graduation Coach.
