Title V: Rural and Low Income Schools Program

Rural and Low-Income School (RLIS) Program is intended to meet the unique needs of rural and low-income districts by providing resources and flexibility to supplement selected NCLB priorities.

Challenges faced by rural and low-income districts often include the lack of personnel and resources needed to compete effective for Federal competitive grants and formula grant allocations in amounts too small to be effective in meeting their intended purpose. The 2022-2023 Title V grant, once approved, will provide funding to support the district's AVID program, a Behavior Interventionist, the Graduation Coach, and teacher certification support.
